echosonic is commissioned to work with inventors of Hopf reservoir computer to carry out audio recognition using physical-based neural networks based on Hopf oscillators. In this new preprint (submitted to Nature Electronics), we showed that Hopf reservoir computer has superior performance in terms of audio recognition accuracy while greatly reducing power consumption and dataset required for reconfiguring machine learning tasks. We also systematically analyzed the mechanisms behind audio recognition using Hopf reservoir computer and lay out the development roadmap of bringing machine learning audio recognition to the ubiquitous microphone sensors using reservoir computing technology.
